Snide Previews for Week Six

Veracruz v Toluca: It’s a good thing Toluca let go of Jose Cardozo. That was clearly the problem. Veracruz wins 2-1.

Cruz Azul v Santos Laguna: Ten matches between these two and a total of four goals scored. Here comes Chepo de la Torre to the rescue! So very much a 0-0 draw.

Morelia v Chiapas: In all of 2016, Morelia has lost once at home. In all of 2016, Chiapas has one once away from home. I’m no expert, but … Morelia wins 3-1.

Tigres v Pachuca: If you look closely enough, you may just see Jonathan Espericueta Morse code blinking an “SOS: take me with you”. Tigres wins 1-0.

Leon v Queretaro: A negative ten goal differential is bad, Leon, but forcing a draw with the Gallos Blancos at home shouldn’t be too much to ask. Get it together. 1-1 draw.

Chivas v Atlas: Clasico Tapatio 2 – 1 Clasico Nacional; Tapatio sauce 6 – 1 Sriracha; Torta Ahogada 7 – 0 Other Sandwiches; Chivas 2 – 1 Atlas

Necaxa v Tijuana: The team at the top of the table visits the most recently promoted side. Should be an easy one … if you’ve never watched this league previously. 1-1 draw.

Pumas v Monterrey: Pumas doesn’t allow goals in the CU. Monterrey scores goals wherever they please. Eh. 1-1 draw.

Puebla v America: Not as popular as some of the other Clasicos, but eventually the Clasico Del Hobbit will really take off. America wins 2-0.
